I came across Tender Living Care Vic Pty Ltd when surfing the internet, looking for information on what was required to help place my mother into aged care. My mother’s circumstances had taken a sudden turn for the worse, which meant time was of the essence. Our family had no experience in matters relating to aged care and so we were really starting from scratch in every sense. It was here that Tender Living Care's Denise left an initial impression. From the first phone call, there was no hard sell, no pressure. Instead, the staff at Tender Living Care were more than happy to provide all the advice and answers to our many questions. It was therefore without hesitation that when we finally decided to proceed with the appointment of a service provider, we chose Tender Living Care to help mum find a home. The staff fully grasped our family needs, my mother’s personal care needs and preferred locations. Again, given the sudden deterioration in my mother’s circumstances, time had also become an important consideration. Balancing all these interests, the team at Tender Living Care and Denise located suitable sites, arranged appointments and then negotiated my mother’s entry approval into our preferred aged care home. In a nutshell, without Tender Living Care’s assistance, my mother would simply not be in the beautiful home in which she now resides and she certainly would not have found a home within the 4 week period which Tender Living Care was able to achieve. The service was holistic in that it included advice and leg work in relation to every aspect of the journey for our family. It is hard to describe in words just how grateful we as a family are to Tender Living Care for the professional and sensitive manner in which they conducted themselves in delivering a successful outcome. I would recommend Tender Living Care to any family who are grappling with the often sensitive and emotional decisions associated with the admission of a loved one into aged care.

The thing about the aged care industry is that there is a vast intimidating spectrum of complexity and unfathomable minutae plus some cruel illusions given to families from some in the industry and from others a startling blindness to the challenges posed to the uninitiated family member, confronted with a need to find answers. Placement agencies appear to provide a vital and crucial means of getting solutions.
